I've got presets on my T racks stuff. What units did you get?

Interesting. Classic comp, classic EQ, classic Mltiband Limiter, Classic Soft Clip, and the Fairchild knock-off. Am I missing something?

    Telepaul,

I use mine in Logic but maybe you are using a different DAW.

Anyway, in my Classic Comp, there is an orange box with the words "Click to load a preset" in yellow. It's in the top left hand corner, impossible to miss TBH.

Click on this box and all the presets show up as a drop down list.

It's the same for all the units I have.

    Hope this helps.

I got the previous T-Racks (version 1.3) bundled with Classik Studio Reverb from eSoundz last year. They threw in a heap of other software too (including Sampletank 2.5L & variuous sample/loop packs), so it was a great deal for only €90.

I really like CSR, but the I could take or leave T-Racks 1.3 to be honest.
Does anybody know how T-Racks 3 compares with 1.3? Is is worth spending the money?... I know there's a reverb thrown in as well.

Also, eSoundzs are bundling in 3 x R.A.W. sample packs on top... all for the same €75

Zy Yoda, It's a great deal. There is stuff on the UAD forum that compares the new IK emulations to the UAD stuff. IK came out on top.

A lot of people on Gearslutz are also comparing them with Waves stuff. I don't have Waves or UAD stuff so I don't know if this is all BS.

I have used them in Logic and I really like them. Having said that, I am no expert just a bedroom warrior.

The actual cost of them for us Europeans is ¢75.00 plus 15% VAT, so €99.

You could probably avoid the VAT by buying from Sweetwater as they are just downloads. I did this with the TH1 guitar amp thing and saved.

    Good luck.

Since I got 3, I don't use the 1.3 modules. My favourite part in 3 is actually the new EQ. Having said that, I also liked 1.3, so get a demo, and see for yourself.

    cheers.

Hey mate cheers for that, I've tried that but it just loads an empty square. Ill post a screen-shot later. I'm using Cubase SE3 so that's probably it :(

Had a novel idea though I dunno how practical it is. There's a pre-set subfolder in each plug-in folder. But in my case they're empty. If they were populated in other versions, would it be possible to copy and send to moi? Again, dunno if this would even work.

Good idea on the demo - I'll check it out tonight.

    Telepaul,

Your best bet is to contact their customer service about this as it sounds pretty strange.

I dealt with this guy at this e mail addrees marco.aicardi@ikmultimedia.com

He sorted my Authorisation problems for me.

Tried Demoing this, but having awful trouble with getting it too work properly on PT8, keep getting "increase buffer size" errors. I have the playback buffer set to max and I'm using a fairly decent machine - MacBook 2.2GHZ with 4Gb Ram. Anyone else having the same problem?

Just by way of rounding my part in this thread off, I was able to zip the presets from the demo into a new folder and extract in the module directory of the new plug-ins, so I'm in business. Now who wants to explain how a Soft Clipper works, eh? :D

    Hey!,

    Did you upgrade to PT8 V 3.1?

What sample rate are you recording at? Anything above 44.1 is a killer with the T-racks.

Are you using an external firewire drive to process audio or internal? Use external!

Try setting your DAW to level 4 in the playback prefrences for added bite.

Not using V3.1 yet, must update I guess,
Yeah using an external FW drive and only recording at 44.1khz...
I'll try the setting that to level 4,
    Cheers!
