Best ball for length

    What would be the best golf ball for the furthest flight. Was just thinking if you entered a competition and had no chance of winning the big prizes could you use some ball that when coming to the longest drive hole could give you some sort of chance there.

    The harder balls are best for length - Pinnacle / Ultra / Warbird etc.

    Generally what you gain in distance you lose in touch and control around the green.

    Titleist Nxt or Titeleist Solo are good mixture of both.

    I did a side by side comparison between ProV1 and Prov1x out on the course this evening. Into a strong wind the X was a good 15 to 20 yards longer on average. on holes with the wind behind the results were inconclusive, maybe 5 yards extra to the X. It's enough to convince me to try switching for a while.
