Myself and my Boyfriend are going to Lanzarote in two weeks. We have been there in January of this year. What I need to know is about Papagayo beach.

From what I've heard about getting to these beaches if you don't have a car its pretty difficult to get to the actual beach.Me and my BF don't drive so don't know what to do.

Does anybody know if there are any alternative way of getting to the beach other then getting the Bus to Playa Blanca and walking???

    Thanks in Advance.:pac:

Papagayo Beach is in a nature reserve so the only access to it is by foot or by car - the buses don't run to it.

You could get a bus to Playa Blanca, get a taxi to the Papagayo Arena hotel (which is one of the closest hotels) and then walk the rest of the way - it's not that far from this hotel.

It's a beautiful unspoilt beach - no sunbeds/parasols or toilets - there's a couple of rough and ready eating places above the beach on the cliff but not much else.

Thanks for the Quick reply Salmone,

Yeah I had a feeling that was the only way to get to it. We are doing a catamaran boat trip from Puerto del Carmen to around Papagayo but we were very disapointed to hear that we wouldnt actually be going to the beach.

    So guess were walking.

    Thanks Again
