`nintendo wii has stopped working?

    Hi all. I went to play my wii the other day turned it on from standby inserted my tiger woods golf game and changed the channel to the correct av.
    Nothing, not even the wii intro just a blank tv screen.
    The wii console is in my opinion quite new and only gets used every couple of months. It is kept in good order and clean of dust.
    I inserted a dvd/cd lense cleaning disc but it just wont get started.
    I was told by a friend to press both red buttons at the same time to reset but again nothing i dont want to take it apart without any knowelage but will give it ago if anyone is clued up on the wii internal layout.
    Or does anyone know of a wii repair wo/man in the kerry, cork or limerick area. Nothing has changed since i last played it. PLEASE HELP
