Good news. Using Spotify works out much cheaper than using iTunes. For €9.99 a month you get unlimited streaming of songs and the option to save over 3000 to the Spotify App on the iPhone to listen offline.

Fantastic news . Been using the Mac client with a free subscription for awhile - if it was available on the iPhone, I'd be inclined to go for a premium subscription...

Pretty cool alright. Either Apple are trying to diffuse the image created by the Google Voice problem, or else they have something similar planned for iTunes.

Either way, Spotify on the iPhone is pretty cool. Anyone have any experience of Spotify already?

I've been using a free account for a few weeks now (a bit of hassle involved, but works fine) and it's very good - minimal ads and the catalog is pretty extensive, including some pretty obscure artists. The only thing that annoys me is that a lot of songs come from random compilation albums, rather than the original recording - you'll see what I mean when you look at the full discography of a popular artist, it can be a bit messy...

I'd definitely go for a premium account just to have it on an iPhone/iPod Touch though.

So, Irish premium users can't download the app? Hmmm.

Just saw that as well, it'll be crap if premium subscribers in Ireland can't use it. I'll have to try and get a UK itunes account!

If your iphone/ipod is Jailbroken you can use it now, get the 'Spot' app from Cydia.

Bit buggy but does the job. You need to have a premium account though.
