Facebook Connect to log onto your Mac?

Everybody I know who owns a Mac uses Facebook quite regularly. I'd say there are very few Mac users without a FB account so really should this be the default way of logging into your Mac?

All your pictures and stuff would be automatically synchronised with Facebook, FB integration into the Finder app so you can chose which friends and groups can see them. Log onto other people's macs with your FB account for limited access, Safari bookmarks and tons of other stuff also synchronised with FB.

    Good idea?

Terrible idea: what your describing is basically a piece of facebook hardware not a proper computing device. Noone, especially not Apple, wants to bring that into the world.

Doesn't iPhoto already sync with FB?

Aperture and iWeb can update Facebook.

I don't get the point of this tbh......facebook can be intergrated as much as you want it to without needing any hardware or finder integration :S so I don't really understand why you'd need that :P

This is one of the silliest ideas that I have ever heard.

Why would you want Facebook of all companies to manage access controls and authentication on your computer?

OP is an obvious anti-mac troll.

Yes, because all those photos of your last drunken excursion would be exactly what you want uploaded to your FB account automatically...

Maybe they should also add the "functionality" of automatically setting everything in your FB profile to public for the whole world to enjoy :).
