Hi guys. looking to record vocals and put effects on it with my hardware effects units but not sure how.. Can put software effects on tracks but am wondering about hardware.. Heard about bus recording but dont know what it is,, maybe im on the wrong idea altogether.. Will i have to use my output from my soundcard into my hardware effects unit and back on a new track? Any help would be great,, cheers By the way 2 of my hardware effects units along with my soundcards has spdif and 1 doesnt if that makes any difference.. Any help would be great.. Cheers

Put the I/O plugin on the bus. It's in utility.
When it opens select your input and output.
You will have to patch the effects to physical in/out on your soundcard
Unless you have marvelous converters and outboard effects space designer will sound better in most cases.

EDIT: see you will be using spdif so scratch the converters comment
