Low Water Level in the Broadmeadow Estuary

This is a bit of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted ..but only because things all tie together now. Has anyone else noticed the really low levels of water in the estuary at low tide. It is especially noticeable at the mouth of the river and around Prospect Point where ‘new’ mud banks are visible at low tide. I first noticed it about three weeks ago but never made the connection that it is due to the causeway( which acts like a weir at low tide) under the viaduct being breached. Fair play to the Sea Scouts for noticing and informing the authorities about the breach. I wonder when the level started to go really low as this would indicate when things started to go pear shaped under the viaduct.
