Well having trouble filling out a seemingly simple AIB student plus a/c opening form! Heres the link http://www.aib.ie/personal/current-accounts/student-plus-current-acc-app

I need help with the College details part:

First off the space given to write your details seems to be annoyingly small.I can't write University College Cork, so would UCC be acceptable?

I'm doing chemical engineering CK601, so I assume I can just write 'Engineering' in the faculty field. But theres not enough space in the course title for the full name of the course would CK601 be ok or should I attempt to abbreviate the course title.

Finally the trickiest part without my orientation stuff, is the Course start date and end date.I know its a 4 year course so i'd assume it'll be Oct 09 for start date. But what month should I put in for the finish date, april/may/june ?.. 2013.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! From this experience I foretell a very bleak future for myself in bureaucracy :p

if you arent in a huge rush to change your aaccount i would just advise that when you are registering you head into the aib on college road and they will explain exactly how to fill everything out and if you want a laser card too they will sort that out for you there and then. it will onmy tale about 5 minutes max. also, they will give you lots of free stuff!! whats not to like??

If there's not enough space for letters, then I just stick two letters into each block.

Doesn't really matter, it's not like a computer is reading it.

I'd agree with above - last year when u opened an A/C, you could get the travel card for free and a free ticket to the freshers ball.
