Ryan Tubridy's theory on women

What do you think about Ryan Tubridy's claim that he only managed to get his girlfriend, Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain because she was from the country, as opposed to being from the city, where girls are "too fussy"?

Would you agree, that country girls are more willing to see beyond physical appearance than city girls? Are country girls easier, for want of a better term?

He only pulled her because he is on t.v., being from the city or the country has nothing to do with it.

Firstly, if Tubridy has a theory on women, it is almost certainly wrong by the vary fact that it is his. He is divorced already and I have no doubt he will soon break up with the Mayo bird and once more join the ranks of the "born again fistians".

Secondly, he only got her because he is a ridiculously overpaid RTE presenter - he looks like a bulldog lickin p1ss off a thistle.

Thirdly, some city girls are too fussy but then again so are some country girls but it's their choice so fcuk Tubridy and fcuk his stupid theories, considering I pay a portion of his wages, I demand he comes up with something better than this mindless drivel.

    get his girlfriend,

Good man Ryan, sow some seeds of doubt in the beautiful girls head that you are good enough for her.

She will be mine. Oh, yes - she will be mine. . . .

I love how you suggest that country girls are "easier" just because they might put a lower priority on looks than women from the "city". :pac:

Anyway, Tubridy was just joking. I doubt that he actually thinks that women from the country are categorically less concerned about looks than city women. Some of the biggest stuck up cows I've known are from the country too so there. :p

    She didn't Tubridy did.

Any theory is automatically defunct by virtue of it originating with that weasly little fook. Still prefer him to Kenny though the wooden oul backstard.

Easier to pull, is what I meant. Easier for the average guy to have a chance with.

I'm sure it will be advantageous to her television future.

This is why coppers, flannerys etc are rammed every weekend.

Be they from the town or city born, no damsel can resist my musk and charm so this theory applies not to AnonoBoy.

Well I am really fit... :P

    She is all right...
If I met her in a pub I'd probably think about lobbing it into her,
But she's not exactly a super model or anything.

    Here's a better pic - http://anghaeltacht.net/ce/cartlann/pic/ijaoibheann.gif

just no, but she has nice tits

Tubridy is welcome to her, if the OP's statement is correct surely he could have done better

I'm not really from Cork - I was born in Dublin and I've been back here for the past three years for college. There is a part of my life where I did live in Cork, but I don't like to talk about it ;)

On a personal level, I can understand why Ryan might have a preference for women from the country - I prefer men from the city, based on how miserable I was living in the back and beyonds.

you're just as likely to meet flocks of girls from dublin in coppers these days as "culchies". sure coppers more or less adopted the leinster rugby team in the aftermath of the heineken cup final....

I reckon Ryan could end world hunger, bring peace to the world, end the recession and people here would still complain about him. I think it is really good to see a geeky looking person have some success for a change.

Without question the only reason he's knockin spots off her is because of his paycheque. Sure he looks like the illegitmate offspring of Peter Crouch and and a midget.

I don't think people on Boards dislike him because he's a geek. That would be all too ironic!

The reason why the two are together is because both have no personality and not funny. Thats why.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,219 ✭✭✭PK2008

Tubridy has less personality than he has looks so his theory is defintely BS

Hardly a reach to imply that a woman who ends up with Tubridy isn't picky...however, it's a bit egotistical of him to imply the only reason a woman wouldn't be with him is BECAUSE she is picky.

Everyone has standards Ryan, you just come up a little short.

I dunno, I find some girls from the country easier to talk to and more down to earth than the typical blonde , stuck up their own ass city birds that seem to be everywhere these days...honestly why are there so many birds with dyed blonde hair these days get some originality for gods sake!

Agree with you, Long Onion, that RT is the essence of Trite, is financially secure and has a certain social status and I believe there's a lesson there in how to succeed in getting an Irish lady to respond positively. But better be poor in love and material things than be ungenuine.

I'm a dyed blonde, live in Dublin and I'm not stuck up my own ass...

I must fall into the other category of the 'two': Fake blonde, Dublin bird who is down to earth

Now could you just imagine those two hooking up if they were sitting in a pub with a group of people and just being normal joe soaps... I doubt it unless she was b*****ed drunk.

Ah Coppers... ya can't beat that place
