Yeah some real turkeys there. The few decent films, most have been on TV, years ago. I'm not sure why CDWow bother .......

Well OK granted they are good, but they've almost all been shown on network TV loads of times. For example, U Turn is a great movie, it's just its been on ITV, RTE, etc.... about 6 times in the last few years.

Well, movie taste is all a matter of opinion. I highlighted movies I enjoyed or credible movies.

But I enjoyed the first two Final Destination's... good popcorn fun!

Master and Commander isn't bad... not a huge fan of it but it certainly has it's charm.

What a crazy world it would be where people bought tv shows on DVD - that'd never happen, right? You must have problems with a huge amount of the bargains on this forum.

You've presented one of the most bizarre and wrong-headed arguments I've seen in a long time. Very few people decide they'd like to watch something and then think ''nah, I'll wait until it's randomly on tv next - I find the ad breaks relaxing''.

I have to agree with Syferus on that one! :D

So what you're saying is that buying films on DVD so that you cant watch them at your own leisure is a waste of time as there's a chance that they may be show on TV in the next few years. Should I cancel my order of the 5 hour 1900 as there's a chance it may be on TV sometime before I die? What about Blu Ray shoudl we sacrifice the improved audio and video quality as we can experience a sub par version of the film on TV?

Watching films on TV is not an enjoyable experience these days, ad breaks every 15 minutes, 30 minute news reports in the middle, annoying logos on the screen, films cut for content, films cut short, badly dubbed versions of foreign films shown.

Just a note of caution to anyone ordering dvds from cdwow, make sure that you order for the right region as you will be stuck with a useless dvd and cdwow will not entertain any thoughts of a refund or replacement under any circumstances.I recently received a copy of a dvd that states on the cover that it can only be sold in Australia and is unplayable on any machine in my house but cdwow say its my fault for ordering the wrong region so be very wary of lower price dvds on cdwow.

Did you try the DVD as, as far as I'm aware Australian discs should play no problem in a R2 machine. I have a good few and they all paly in my Sony DVD which can't be unlocked.

The Bourne Identity is rarely on TV and is a brilliant film.

Yes, it just says wrong region. Also tried the pc,ps3 and laptop to no avail.Didn't know that a dvd player could be unlocked.

You sure it's not a Region 3 (Asia) - it should say on back of the DVD box?

Australia is Region 4 (though often dual-coded as R2/R4).

Definitely region 4.Anyway i've went to dispute on paypal and hey presto they've agreed to give me a refund.
