the amount of threads locked for no apparent reason. what's that about? anyway, is there any Irish message boards anywhere that aren't so dry? could someone point me in their direction? even if you're a mod. i promise i won't be back if you find me a good one.

madblaa.com we need a few more posters there but its fairly no holds barred. Im a mod there a few years now and only thing I done was block a few bot accounts other than that I just annoy people for the fun

I think the mods do a very good job, all things considered. You'll get some good ones, you'll get some bad ones. But the tone of the site is set by the admins who pick the mods and personally I'd say they've a better eye than any HR person I ever met.

What I can't understand is why anyone would want to be a Mod. You get held to a much higher moral standard, you have to bite on your best jokes, and you have to regulate a foodfight rather than be in it. Why?

The free bar had better come with coke and hookers and Ma's.:)

There are some shockingly shíte mods knocking around, people who seem to think that being a mod is an excuse to be a dick head and somehow makes them "better" than other people.

The majority however are grand and I'd say all the Admin's are spot on.
