    Hi guys,

I bought some guitar leads on ebay last week and the postage was US$12.50.

I have just recieved an email telling me that they want US5.50 more because the postage is actually $18 and the 12.5o was actually only an estimate.

    DO i just pay it?

    Thanks

You shouldn't have to, but it depends on what you think it's worth, and whether you can get them elsewhere.

You could report it to eBay, as it is against the policy to change any prices after an auction has ended. You can always use negative feedback, but don't threaten it, as that's also against the rules.

I have already paid for the item. The money went through and then they asked for extra .

Ill just pay it i guess and give bad feedback

No, raise it with eBay, who should side with you and tell the seller to send it for the money that was already paid. If the seller refuses, then leave negative feedback for upping the cost, and not putting accurate postage charges in the auction.

I realise you had already paid, my point about if it's worth it was in relation to the extra cost. You could back out of the sale, and get a refund, if you can get what you're looking for elsewhere. This might be the cheapest you can get it, even when you add the extra $5.50, so you have to ask yourself is it worth paying more?

I would still report it to eBay, and then leave negative feedback when it's all done.
