Right im doing my repeats at the moment for computer science first year and things arent looking good. to be honest i dont really like the course anyway but i dont know what else to do.

ive never been good at math or science but at the time i foolishly thought the ordinary maths requirement meant id probably be fine. i picked the course mainly cause of job prospects.

now im wondering what should i do if i fail?
repeat first year and try get my course anyway?
or drop out and apply to the cao again?

there lies the next problem. i dont really know what i want to do. at the moment i think i might like to get in social care/councilling etc. although i dont really know too much about it.

what courses would be good for this sort of work? i saw some possibilities but with only 380 poins im short of them all

and is there any good non cao courses for this? i suppose the final question is is there any night courses or morning courses that are related to this?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated

*oh and im based in dublin and cant afford to move or commute outside the county
