Can I use an O2 stick on THREE?

    I used to use O2 Mobile internet but am now out of contract and have since cancelled as it was a crap service. However I am wondering if I can use my HUAWEI E170 stick modem with the likes of Three's PAYG mobile internet? Would it be possible to get the O2 modem unlocked and flashed to THREE Software or am I barking up the wrong tree. Is it even possible to buy a Three PAYG mobile internet simcard?

    Reason is I will be in the UK soon and it would be handy besides paying the ripoff hotel wifi and maybe heading to oz later on where I could use it on three also.

    You just need to unlock the modem, and change a few settings. No need to flash the Three software on to it. APN settings can be found in the FAQ sticky in this forum.

    Three UK no longer do Three Like Home, so you can't roam for free.

    3 Ireland still offer the Like Home service which means the OP can roam in the UK at no extra charge. 3UK getting rid of the service means their customers cannot roam on other 3 networks

    How do I get it unlocked? Can I download software to do it or must it be done in a phone store?
