Over the last few summers I have done my Open Water and a few fun dives, all of these have been in Thailand & Oz, I'm interested in doing some diving now I'm home and was wondering could anyone recommend a good company to go with? I'm living in North Dublin so preferably somewhere within driving distance.

Also I have been looking up different websites and some say a Local Orientation Dive is necessary if you have only dived abroad to get used to the temperatures of Irish water, what does this involve? Is it a regular fun dive or something different?

its just a dive where you start by brushin up on skills and have a led dive by instructor/divemaster to help you get use to conditions.fun enough!
