    Who loves orange soda?
    Kel loves orange soda!
    Is it true?
    Mm-hmm. I do, Id, I do-o :pac:

Loved nick when I was younger but I've no idea what they're showing these days and I wouldn't expect to like them, in fairness.

Rugrats - still watch it if it's on. A class part. The first two films were excellent.

Clarissa was a truly awful show! Doug was very good. I went to see the film.

90's kids telly was much better than today. At least the kids didn't mimmick the yankee accents.

Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Earthworm Jim, The Tick etc. all fantastic.

My favorite cartoons (Not Nickelodeon though) were Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain. They were just pure genius. Especially the nations of the world song.

In terms of Nickelodeon shows, Ren and Stimpy were just fantastic. So disgusting, witty and original. There will never be a cartoon to match it.

A Classic Nickelodeon station would be pretty awesome or just a pre-2000 kids tv station where they can only show things that began in 1999 or earlier.

    Anyone remember "Tucker"?

Haven't heard of Tucker in years!

What about The Adventures of Alan Strange or Alex Mack - Alex Mack wears a hat!

    Angry Beavers was brilliant too.

They're identical twins... If you think one is hot, then the other is hot also. The difference is with the personalities.

Did Sister Sister run on Nick? Did Pinky and the Brain? They don't sound very Nick-like?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,115 ✭✭✭✭cena

But when Sister Sister first air in the mid-1990s? I don't think Pinky and the Brain, Animanicas, tiny toons or Batman Animated series would have aired on Nick. I know they did show repeats of Sister Sister in the early 2000 and could continue to do so.

Is it just me or did kids TV seem a little less kiddy than it is now, Zoe 1O1 seems very childish in comparision to Sister Sister. And at the same time Zoe reinforce allot of sterotypes :( <<<< Thinking about that too much TBH.

I don't think The Tic would have either.

I agree, we had much less childish shows back in the 90s, but then came the moaning parents complaning of "adult themes" (e.g. relationships between teenagers, a simple reality of life!)

And yeah, Zoey 101 is full of stereotypes, but its still an okay show (that is, if i was a small bit younger!)

i would of thought that batman and others would been shown on the channel tcc or what ever they were called. sister sister was a nick programme. the ones mentioned above are all made by wb,but nick could of shown them on the nick channel

TCC wasn't Nick different company. and I don't think TCC had very many quality kids shows general the cheaper ones.

THE DEN, CBBC and CITV would have shown things like The Tic and Batman. I also don't think Nick or TCC broadcast Earthworm Jim but I could be wrong about that.

Nick have their own set of US shows so they generally don't buy from other producers who would have their own kids TV channels or have licence arrangements in individual countries.

I would definately question if Sister, Sister was air from 1994 to 1999 on Nick. It says on Wiki it was on between 1995 to 2000 with C4 having UK terrestrial rights.

I don't think they put Sister Sister in nick until years after it was shown on Channel 4 and RTÉ 2.
