afaik you need to run a harness bar to run a harness propperly,a harness thats not setup right can be very dangerous, i cant rmember off hand but i think the harness needs to run at a specific degree for it to be safe. belts are not something id do myself maybe try the likes of TDP or CDA to get some professional advice. its not something you want to take a chance on. Just my 2cents

As above. Iv seen this kind of setup fail in a big shunt (Mondello).

Seek proper advice, not something you want to get wrong.

Pablo, are you sure that 4pt harnesses are even legal on a road car? I know a few lads that have 'em on track day cars, but they held onto the 3 pt reel for road use.

If you're looking to improve your existing seatbelt, you might consider a CG Lock , which acts like a ratchet on the lap part of the belt, holding you in your seat more securely. I have 'em in the Ignis and they make a huge difference when cornering.

There not road legal anyway is right you need to keep and use the normal seat belt setup on public roads

the reason i looked at 4 point is that it from the design i guess that it seems to me that they were easier to install on a road car as 2 vertical straps(in the back) fit under the bolts at the back of the seatrail on each side and 2 horizontal on the sides, i looked at the bolts the last day and it seems that belts would fit no bother under them,
when you look at 3point design u see one vertical strap(in the back) and 2horizontal, but where is the vertical strap supposed to fit, if u bolt it on either side belts wont be evenly fit from my thinking:confused:
i was hoping that some track/race drivers here would enlighten me

that omp 4 point belt is supposed to be ece aprroved which means road legal(apparently)

my harness is handy ,its got bolts with round hoops on them, you use the mounting points of your standard seat belts,on drives seat and rear seat belts, and the harness then just clips onto these bolts with the hoops on them, and it doesnt affect your normal seat belts ,so you can have both in the car all the time , or just hook on the harness when you think you need it,its a for point harness and works well on track

Where did you get those? How hefty are the hooks?
