God I havent seen that car for a long time!
It has a Nissan diesel engine in it. A pal of mine bought the original 429 from the gauy that 'converted' it in Galway. If I remember correctly it has no roof at all!

That car used to be a gorgeous aqua blue colour.

Wy would you remove a perfectly good 429 and stick a rattly Diesel in...
And why paint a car that was aqua blue pink....

And whats worse is that when he put the diesel in he just advertised the 429 in the Buy and Sell!
I never heard the engine running but I'd imagine it was very tired- still it wouldnt have been the avenue I'd have taken!

Maybe he thought it looked more American? Not to mention fancy!!! Haha!

I saw a photo of a similiar car recently, pink with black roof, and it was reg OIY xxx so it could be the same car. I dont think the pink suits the car, fine on a 59 Biarritz but not a Sedan Deville.

I suspect his isn't doing it for the love of classics.

You had it right about taking barbie to her debs, not to mention a tacky wedding car, a hen night special etc. etc.
    That's his market. :pac:
