Komplett seems to be lacking on this one. Has one surge protector socket extender and only one of them and that's it.
Anyone know price range and/or shops for UPS for the pc. Just need something brief even under 5 mins would be alright.

didnt realise the load time was so short. We've had lightning strikes knocked us offline though and we just kept on chuggin. These things are great.

CyberPower 1285AVR 750W UPS Battery Backup USB

    How does that work exactly?
    - Typical Recharge Time: 16 Hours - Runtime at Full Load (min): 3
Could be better but still the best i've seen so far. Cheers for that link!

It has a driver utitlity. it does somethingsomething. I've done no poking around. It will alert you when youve lost power (as if you didnt know) and im sure, when configured the right way, it will automatically signal your PC to Hibernate or similar.

I have one like this (except US version). They are a very reliable brand. We have a couple of them in the library where I work and I have one at home (I have the 350 version at home).

did that poking around. They tie in directly to the Control Panel's Power Options page. A bit like the Laptop Power Settings you may be familiar with. Almost exactly the same. When you're on low power you can set it to **** bricks and hibernate the PC, etc.

What's the normal power usage for irish pcs. I take it the volts stay the same at ...220/230 or something and the watts go up and down depending on what you're using? Is there anyway to check how much you're pulling in?

I've got this page and looking at the uk ones.

    vs

Seems rather odd as they're both priced the same but one seems really crap with low charge times (around 1 min) and 24 hours to recharge and low watt output,
while the other has high output, at least 5 mins and rechanges in 16 hours.
