I don't know if this asked before but I'm looking for some nice places to cycle as in parks or maybe a wooded area. I went for a cycle in the Phenix Park quite a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. The only thing I did'nt enjoy was the rather humid weather. I live in the Tallaght area and I have a car. I would preferbly love to go somewhere where is practically no scumbags. I am also looking for places to cycle in Wicklow as well. So any advice would be great.:)

There are fireroads through most of the woods around wicklow which would be a nice cycle.

I went for a cycle with my girlfriend along the canal from Naas to Robertstown a few weeks back, really nice. You could probably go for a cycle around Glendalough as well, haven't tried that before.

As you are in Tallaght it is a short trek into the Wicklow mountains.
Go up early in the morning and you won't encounter any scumbags and may not encounter anyone!

Here is a route that climbs up Bohernbrenna hill, drops into Brittas and the climbs up to Sally Gap before returning via Glencree and passing Hell Fire Club entrance.
I'm not suggesting to go out and do that route, just that those roads are nice and mostly quiet.

if your just going for cycles in the park, the Bohernbrenna reservoir is a lovely area and very close. it has tarred and good gravel roads.
are you on a road bike or a mountain bike. just that will give people an idea of what road conditions you will be able for.

I don't think I'd be able for that, I'm not quite as fit as used to be. I'll definitly try Glendalough, as that would be a very nice scenic place.:)
