45cm satellite dish ???

    45cm satellite dish is this on the small size for sky FTA here in the west ? :confused:

    Aldi offer Sunday

    It is, you would be as well off getting a 60cm dish for reliable reception.

    Far too small for the west especially. As soon as the weather gets nasty you would be lucky to get a thing.

    45cm dishes are more suited to the UK and west europe. Aldi should really be selling this in Ireland with a 60cm or even an 80cm.

    For Astra 2/Sky 43 cm is standard size for Wales and most of England.

    But for Scotland and Ireland they recommend 60cm

    A 45 cm dish might work for some channels on a clear day but (particularly in Northern and Western parts) is likely to exhibit problems during rain (particularly on weaker channels)
