Although Wiggle are quite good at delivering other things, when it comes to complete bikes they are a bit more hit and miss. There was another recent thread on this topic:

I ordered a focus variado compact bike from wiggle on monday 10th of august at about midnight and it arrived early friday 14th.
    I thought service was great

    That's disappointing Fiestaman:mad:

Dammit I ordered mine last sunday 23rd, I e-mailed them on Tuesday morning asking them to process my order as I wanted the bike this weekend. I got a reply saying they would do what they could.

A couple of hours later my order was marked as processed, but going by your experience I doubt I'll have it before Friday.

Fingers crossed for you and me both mate:(

I'v been waiting for a bike lock since it was supposedly shipped on the 14th. Rang my local sorting office today and there's no sign of it

Well Bike Arrived today, i actually collected it as the couriers said they wouldnt del it until tommrrow. Was really excited going to get it and threw it into the work van and headed off. Pulled in down the road to have a peak at it coz couldnt wait till i got home. Opened box and it was the wrong bike. Sent me a varaido expert instead of a cayo. Billled me for cayo and cabletied the invoice to the wrong bike and all. They say in the returns that you have to pay for a courier to collect a bike, i wont be anyway. I think the service is brutal and hopfully il get the correct bike in the next two weeks when the mess is sorted, but il never deal with them again. Two weeks to recieve a parcel from england, that day is long gone. they only processed the order after i emailed them too. ordered sunday 17th 7.56pm, collected from them on monday 24th.

Sorry you had such bad luck dude!

Having recently ordered a bike from wiggle i know the frustration in waiting for deliverary, however i got lucky as i ordered on a sunday, it was shipped on the thursday and delivered on the monday. Just over a week.

Sorry to hear that Fiestaman :(

I doubt that they would look for you to pay for postage return as it was them who made the mistake.

Fingers crossed theyt will sort you out. I would be looking for something nice from them for the inconvenience..........and not a €9 tool kit.

Yeah don't take any crap from them fiestaman, make sure they arrange to pick it up at no cost to you.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience, there really is no excuse for it. However, having dealt with wiggle many times, along with most people on here, the standard is normally much better than what you experienced. I would say your experience is more the exception rather than the rule. I wouldn't stop buying from them completely, especially if you see a good offer.

Also, a bit closer to home are CRC and Slane Cycles, both very good to deal with and very fast delivery as well as offering competitive prices.

Seem to randomly have fun like that with all online suppliers i've used eventually, just very unlucky it was something as big as a bike(extra hassle for you and that). As Dirk said I wouldn't stop using wiggle because of it, crc have had a good few issues with shipping my orders too....I'm currently still waiting the delivery of some energy gel's from Torq in the uk 6 weeks later or something. Its a little box even! (Never order off torq directly seems to be the lesson, go wiggle!)

always a complete bummer when that happens, cant believe you wouldnt double check a bike going out.
    no excuses on this one.

(wonder who got your cayo, wonder if their ringing up wiggle going wheres my variado ?)

I can only imagine your frustration. There's nothing worse then spending a big load of hard earned cash on some thing and waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive from England.
Make sure that the return of the bike doesn't cost you a penny, kick up a big fuss and they might throw in a few freebies:-)

Dublin too, normally takes about 3 days for me, but it can vary. One it has been shipped it only ever takes about a day to get here.

First experience of ordering from Wiggle to the South and have to say I'm very disappointed. I bought energy drink last Sunday and paid for quick processing however still no delivery to Waterford today. Was processed fine on Monday. Looks like I'll be home before it arrives

In the North I never pay for the quick processing and usually get anything next day or at most the day after.

Powerade just isn't the same

Dublin too, I've had stuff from CRC within < 24 hrs of ordering. Most places in the North deliver within a day of shipping.

CRC are backlogged right now though, some of my current orders took a few days to process, one from wednesday is still 'processing'.

Wiggle are invariably slower, so I'm using them less these days, unless they have something I really want. I've been using CRC's price match facility lately if stuff is cheaper on Wiggle.

oh well i got a mail this morning before 9 to say my stuff has been dispatched, maybe it will be there when i get home :) wuhoo!

    Hi again fiestaman,

I think you were just unlucky.
    • I ordered mine last sunday night,
    • I e-mailed them on Tuesday asking if they would process the order as I wanted the bike this weekend,
    • They replied via E-mail almost immedately saying they would try their best,
    • Order was processed within a few hours,
    • Bike was delivered today(Friday) and it is perfect.
I'm not saying that what happend in you case is acceptable, it's definately not, and I hope you get satisfaction ASAP. Just to balance the arguement saying that wiggle could not have been better in my case.

Once again........bummer dude and I hoipe you get sorted soon.

She arrived today boys, and i must say shes some baby. just done a small test run, fair smoothe. Wiggle is forgiven. offered me a £25 voucher too so happpy with that, might get me a carbon bottle holder:D Great Bike. Gona need some good shorts now though for that saddle:( I love it though lads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 620 ✭✭✭Super Freak

Glad to hear you got sorted. £25 is reasonable I suppose, Don't forget that you are now a platinum member with Wiggle so you get a few percent off everything , that £25 will go even further.

Just a note on the saddle; Mine looked to be horizontal but a couple of km into my first spin I had to angle it down a couple of degrees, it really hurting my groin. It still looks horizontal, a very small adjustment that made a big difference.

Good luck with the new bike !! I love mine too:eek:
