    Need to let off some steam and cant rant in the clubhouse bout my playing partners so going to do it here, does it annoy anyone else when your playing well and on a score and then your playing partners start telling you what to do ....ie sink this putt now and ul have a birdie I KNOW I WILL I HIT THE FIRST TWO FCUKING SHOTS, or when u make a mistake and they critisize it as a silly mistake... or when they keep asking you how many points you have.... just very annoying happened me today i was on a score after nine blanked the 10th badly and one player (who has 20shots more than me) tells me how i should have played the hole!!!!!!!! im not saying that they were the only reason i messed up my back nine but they just unsettled me!! Ah well ive been knocking on the door for awhile now with scores 36,37 etc consistently so hopefully this weekend for the prize i can get it together fo 18holes!!!!
    Rant ovet, thank you for your time!!!!!

    but they just unsettled me!!
    .....you'll never turn pro then !! :pac::D
    I have bumped into a few individuals like this, but I think thats part of the game, you've to concentrate 100%, let them (& their words of 'wisdom') fade into the background. Failing that, take out your MP3 player, phone etc :eek::p

    Sounds like you may of got in your own way a wee bit, playing partners,(in the majority) are not trying to annoy you, people get a little excited at times, and i feel geniunly like to see a good score being posted by one of thier group,as we all know advice flows very freely on and off the course, (suppose i'm doing it know).

    too bad man but as said there it's concentration, short of them telling you they like your wiggle & are ya gonna be in the showers after the round you should take no heed lol

    You will always get that.

    The ones say you are driving well or putting well and next thing you hit/putt a few bad ones. As they say on tv commentators curse.

    lol, grow a pair maybe and tell em you don't want to know the scores, problem solved:p,

    you got to let it slide just ignore it, as you say you know your own score anyway

    as for the advice from the high handicapper,just say thanks
    if he kept it up I'd usually give him a bit of praise back he'd generally make a bigger tosser of himself by continuing on waffling but some magazine or t.v. show he's learned from, so might be worth a giggle,
    and a nice way to top it off would be to say "I've been watching your drives there smashing, you've a lovely long pause at the top of your backswing there before you begin to transfer your weight for downswing":eek: usually this will inflate his head so much wnen he thinks about it before the next drive anything is liable to happen

    seriously some guys like to bustle a bit to get a guys reaction,so you should either match it or ignore it but don't let it get to you, have a bit of fun with it,

    i've had some class stuff happen to me especially in inter-club stuff down the years,once even as i teed it up on the first tee in front of 2 or 3 more groups,another time in a deciding game as on 18th tee, never did worry me but maybe i'm used to slagging a bit (from other sports and work)........the odd "good shot" may be muttered in the right company when a good mate plays a howler,only when it is appropriate sometimes its better than a silence when you know a mates head is churning....may get him to loosen up and smile

    also you will find guys who will not say anything untill you ask them, you probably know all that stuff, personally i like to ask someone who's veiw i respect after a round did they notice anything i could or should be doing or not doing,simple stuff like tempo maybe, have to say thats only about 4-5 guys i play regularly with and are 2 are my around my own h'cap(7-9) and 2 lower, and i would never bring up my putting stoke as i'm happy with that all of the time even if it goes missing on and off, so its up to yourself to
