Oh very nice. Just finding it hard to pick the other two subjects for myself. :D

Well, I think we have 2 weeks to attend a mix 'n match of different subject before you decide, so you have plenty of time.

Hi,I'm doing Arts (History).I've chosen Celtic Civilisation,Archeology and Classics as my other modules. They say you should try and pick modules that are relevant to your core module. But like subnation said you've got plenty of time to figure it once you get started.

Just out of interest, what ages are you? Usually Arts is just a base degree that you build on over years do you worry about being too old?

I'm 29 and doing Classics, Philosophy, History and Economics, plan on getting at least a 2.1 so I can go on as a graduate and do medicine. Fingers crossed NUIG are introducing Grad entry to medicine from next year. Sometimes I feel I'm too old :o but then my Father keeps reminding me that our (now retired) GP didn't qualify as a doctor until he was 35 and everyone (academically at least) thought he was ancient back then - he's 70 something now!! So there's still hope in this age of enlightenment!!
You're not too old til your dead, that's my tuppence on it all!

Well I'm 26, and hope to study Irish and Psychological Studies in this First Arts of a Mature Student. Already introduced myself to less than 10 people on the first day of our lectures, so hope I can chat to more people soon... :)

Didn't technically apply as a mature student (just regular cao application) but I'm 24 and will be doing Spanish, German, Psychology and Soc & Pol.

I'm ridiculously nervous about it, but it's good to see some more people my age and older doing Arts ;)

Hi all, starting back to college as a Mature Student too. Doing ARTS and think I have narrowed down my subjects - BA Connect - Creative Writing, English, Spanish and German. Seems like I am a little older at 35 - but really cannot wait to get stuck in!

Older? Older? You're not that old at 35, I had a friend who went back to do a degree at 63, sure you're a babe in arms in comparison!! :p
And to my knowledge the oldest person to get their degree was a 95 year old woman in the US, so even my friend Sean is a baby at 63 compared to that!! See, suddenly you're but the twinkle in your fathers eye again!!::D

    Hi there,
I finally managed to log on to get my email - YEAH!
Your window Live ID is actually your Uinversity email. Mine is
M.Wise1@nuigalway.ie - you would have received yours in the registration pack? Your password is the same as your CASS account - remember?
The month/date of your b-day with the word galway??
Try it again - I was stuck for a while - but eventually it all worked!
Good luck! I already had a heap of emails from my lecturers

Your student ID number is your CAO number.

Did you register online? If so, there is a summary page that shows your name/address/mobile etc. and on that screen it shows the email address that your college has assigned to you. Are you NUIG? If so, then most likely it will be the following - let's pretend your name is Mike Smith.
M.Smith1@NUIGalway.ie - the only thing I am not sure of os the number after your name - as there are 5 Fiona Kelly's at NUIG and they have the same email address with the exception of that number.
And yes, your student ID is your CAO number.

    Good luck,
