    Interview with Hugh Cahill part of which will be shown on 6 News tonight afaik.
    Gouging mentioned(around 5.40 in) obviously and in fairness he is apologetic to some extent and again mentions it wasnt intentional and he was trying to pull Leo off O Connell.

    Good interview, really professional. He is contrite, mentions Leo is a great guy but gets across the main defence points as well - looks worse on the slo mo, only was 0.4 of a sec, made contact accidentally with the "eye area", no inury, no intent, trying to pull Leo away etc.

    He has cheated all his life and made a career of doing this crap,he got caught this time thankfully.

    I won't deny I consider Quinlan a tough player - but no more so than any other hard man of the rugby world, and in general I don't think he's any more of a cheat than the average player who thinks he might be able to sneak the ball back to his side of the ruck when he's on the ground.

    He was caught in this instance doing something disgusting which he plainly should not have been doing, and has been rightly severely punished for it. That's the end of it really.

    Good interview, but I think I'm going to lock this thread to avoid it sliding into a quagmire.

    Goose, I don't think your post needs an infraction, but please tone it down a little, last thing I want is another Munster-Leinster war breaking out on this forum (and I will give 1 month bannings to anyone involved in the next one that does inevitably happen).
