Wait times for a refurb ps3??

Got the YLOD last Wednesday there. Rang up Sony and they sent us on an e-mail with details on how to replace the console for €160. Fair enough, went through all the procedures of packing the console and putting a cheque in the box (seemed a bit dodgy??) and it was collected Friday morning.

The e-mail with all the details next advised me to e-mail Sony with an address to send the refurbished console to. I did that anyway Friday afternoon.

Haven't heard anything since then. Just after ringing them back up and they told me something about cheque's needing to clear etc. and that it could take a "couple of weeks"!!! Don't see how thats the case though as I personally know a lad in work who told me when his ps3 broke down he had it collected on a monday and had a new one on the wednesday? If I knew it was going to take this long I would have just flogged the console on ebay and bought a slim ps3!

What kind of wait times are people here getting?
