    Hi All

Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong forum, mods please kindly move to the appropriate forum if so!

I'm looking for an audio output selector switch, I've a PC that I want to be able to switch the output from the sound card to either desktop speakers, headphones or the a TV.

I've had a look round on the net and all I have found are audio switches that handle 3 inputs to one output, heres an example:

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=9328&C=SO&U=strat15

This is exactly what I'd be looking for only this again this switches between 3 inputs to one output. It also says it cannot be used in reverse.

Think this might do the job but its a god awful looking thing and it says it is required to be powered by the mains?

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=32114&C=SO&U=strat15

Not too sure why a switch needs to have its own separate power supply but this one does apparently?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Cheers :D

First check that the signal you are wishing to output is of an appropriate level for all three devices. A signal level that is appropriate for powering headphones may be too high for feeding to the audio inputs of a TV, for example.
