Does an aquarium need support under it?

I have a 110 litre aquarium that i want to set up again after several years. I dont have any cabinet for it and wonder do cabinets help to support aquariums in any way or will just a strong table of any sort do the same job? The aquarium has no black plastic band around the bottom like tanks I see around just the bare…
