    Here's the Mfr speel:

"New for 2009, the Freeway II is built using the latest lightweight, super strength materials and has been rigorously tested so that it performs to limit even in the most extreme conditions.

With advanced technology, the Freeway II raises the bar all over again. The Lithium battery is 75% lighter than the standard and its contemporary looks and whisper quiet 200 watt motor are sure to get admiring glances. The soft touch ergonomic hand grip has an integral multi function control pad and display so that you can track battery power, speed and send your trolley onto the next hole.

The FWII folds in an easy, no-fuss 3 way movement, making it highly portable and able to fit in the smallest car boot.

And it looks the part, with new stylish sport wheels as standard and contemporary colour choices.

The new Freeway II is loaded with features that will support your game and leave the competition standing. Make sure you lead the field in 2009".

Has anyone on here got one of these or do you know of anyone that does? Have you/they had any problems with it?

I have one - the digital display gets fogged up in the rain (condensation inside the glass) and makes it unreadable. Drive/gearing mechanism packed up on the first hole in a Pro-Am last week - now back for repair.

There are a few other points that I don't like but I won't bore the Boards readers for a while.......

Bear in mind that these jobbies are €850 with the lithium battery!

You'd expect a lot more after forking out that kind of money.

Found this on another forum. Seems like you are not alone..

Appears that they have made some upgrade to fix the misting problem and it will be implemented in September.....

    The saga continues......

The "upgrade" still shows the same problem. Ongoing battle with the Vendor.

Another new replacement but this time the charger and battery don't mate?

    Back again....

Is there anything to point to you that the 'gearing' is going, in your experience? I'm getting a 'tick tick' on the left wheel when its moving, I'm really noticing it, although maybe I just 'have it on my mind now'

Don't have the Lithium one, just the ordinary one

Overall I don't like it either, much prefer the previous version. I'd even sell it if anyone was interested

The gearing went on mine on one side - collapsed after first hole. I had to run back to club and hire a trolley!

My guess is that it will eventually get worse and let you down but this really is a guess. Best to have an agent take a look?

Yep - I have had the screen misting problem (design change implemented in manufacturing) and the shaft shearing (again the deign has changed with a stronger metal bracket fitted underneath)....

They might eventually get it right but at what cost? So many people pis&*d off already....
