I'd recommend the Dell out of the two you showed there.

I have an acer myself and its generally a decent laptop but things seem to wrong with it, nothing too serious until lately and i've had it for years but annoying things tend to go wrong. I know a few people with dells and I've used them a lot myself and find them much better laptops but thats just one man's opinion!

As for the gaming you should be ok on low-medium spec with older games, newer ones probably won't run well even on lower spec. I'd say you could add a better graphics card to the dell before purchase but that might not be within your budget, something to look into though.

Hope i was of at least some help!
