Been late for JSA sign on 3 times in a row

I was late for my last two sign on dates and the last time they told me that they would deduct it if I was late again. I missed another one this morning and will have to go in tomorrow to sign on late, I was just wondering if anyone knows how much will be taken from my payment?

    Thanks in advance to replies.

It all depends on that office's policy, and the supervisor in charge of your claim. It is likely you will be deducted one day's payment, but you could also be asked to sign on daily. If you have a good reason for being late - ie medical appointment, job interview, bring along that evidence.

Some offices are getting very tough, the way they look at it is that you are only required to make yourself available to sign on once a month - so they are not very understanding if you are late without a good enough reason.

Any reason for being late or can't be arsed?

Well the first time my sign on time was changed and I completely forgot about it and showed up an hour late. Second time I was in queue when they shut the blind and then told me I was late when they reopened. I've been under the weather today and just didnt wake up until the middle of the day.

    Strictly speaking late, not missed.

Strictly speaking late, not missed. You might not even have been late, inefficient queueing.

If you're sick you can't claim, not the best of defences.

If in doubt appeal. Say you turned up on the day and basically sh1t happens.

I've said this before, but don't say "If I was black you'd pay me", "what about immigrant getting mobile phones" etc.

Put your hand up, be contrite, understand the difficulties involved.

On your signing day wake the fnck up, it's one day a month.

The staff you're dealing with in the exchange have to turn up in that sh1thole every day. No escape for 20 years or so. Cut them some slack.
