    Hi Lads
Have just bought a Focus cayo on Wiggle and it has just arrived. I am new to cycling and have only really been going out on my mountain bike for the last three months doing about 20-30 miles twice a week. Deceided to take it a bit more serious. I have also bought cycling shoes and pedals. I now I need the following but what else do I need in case I get a puncture or even to make cycling more enjoyable.
    Have.
Cycling shorts, shoes ,pedals, computer, helmet, pump, tubes(spare), small bag under saddle, puncture repair kit,
    Have not?
    Wet gear?
I am not a serious cyclist but intend to do about 100miles a week . Thanks

What kind of pump did you get? I initially got the small €10 pump, but subsequently bought a slightly more expensive track pump for inflating tyres to their proper pressure and use the other one in case of emergency (i.e puncture)

Some lights for the dark winter days? I got a pair of LED ones off wiggle few weeks back for 20e. Very bright and visable.

Glasses, someone posted that the €2 shop has some, they'll probably do. I'm on my third pair of glasses now and the first two were pricey enough so I wouldn't shell out more than €20 now. The ones I'm currently using are from argos @€;15 and they're grand

Mid-section carbon clincher wheels. SRM cranks. TT bike. Full assos wardrobe. Tubular carbon climbing wheels. e-Motion Rollers. Titanium rain bike. Full time masseuse and chef. Domestiques. Groupies.

Oh sorry, "need". I read "want".

Hi chorus, jokes aside, good luck with your new bike and safe cycling. I think as you progress you will quickly find out what you are missing. Concentrate on getting the miles in oops sorry kms! and the rest will quickly become obvious. Shoes, shorts, base layer, jacket/jersey, helmet if you decide to use one!, mitts/gloves, glasses, pump and repair kit with spares and multi-tool maybe a computer to log the kms. As the weather gets colder (and wetter:rolleyes:) you can add the rest. Enjoy.

    Thanks guys
Good advice there. never thought of lights or gloves. Must start picking up the rest of the basics and see how I get on. Have been gradually putting in the miles over the last few weeks on my mountainbike and now i am starting to enjoy it - even the hills. Can't wait to get out on the Focus over the next few days and put in a few km's. Thanks for all the posts lads.
