    could anyone help me out with this question, i have an exam for my degree on thursday morning :(

    1. compare and contrast the traditional design of a watch with that of a mechatronics designed product involving a microprocessor :confused:

    I did a mini project something like that a year or two ago using an 8052 and multiple seven seg displays to make a clock, stopwatch and countdown timer.

    5/6 a side football

    list the advantages and operations of both , and contrast them
    traditional design all mechanical parts , no batteries , complicated assembly , a repairable item .

    mechatronics design
    the mix of mechanical ie. buttons . and the processor and PCB being electronic side.
    can have more functions more accurate due to the multiple subdivision of integers. not really worth repairing , trow away item . easy assembly , printed circuit . not as susceptible to water pressure , high altitude hot or cold all theirs environmental aspects can inter fear with accuracy of minute precision metals

    hope this gives you a few ideas , where you studying
