i recently purchased a "buy it now" item on ebay and paid through paypal
a few days later ebay mailed me informing me the item had been removed:

Unfortunately, the item is no longer available for purchase. This is disappointing for everyone, but sometimes it's necessary to protect you as a buyer.

There are three main reasons why we remove listings:

-- The listing doesn't follow eBay guidelines.
-- The item isn't allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions.
-- The listing contains pictures or words in it that may have created copyright or trademark issues.

If the seller is able to fix the problem and relist the item, we hope you'll bid on it again.

We apologize for the inconvenience and have many other great deals on eBay. Just go to http://www.ebay.com to continue your shopping today. We hope to see you soon.

    Thank you,

    eBay Inc

(see underlined) i had already purchased the item.
i was in contact with the buyer who said he will still be sending the item (7 days ago now and no contact). this seller has 100% feedback on 244 ratings..
i wrote ebay an email asking as i had completed the transaction through their service that it should be honored and havent received a reply from them (6 days now)

what can i do on this or is it "tough sh*t" , this is leaving me with little confidence in buying off ebay again

the item in question is a PSP pandora battery for repairing failed firmware installation

    Thanks
    John

Dont worry mte you are safe, but this has happened to me before, the ebayer whom I purchased from was from Hong Kong & posted the item anyway, Paypal is the best and you can get a refund through a claim

Give it a few more days. It can take seven day for an item posted in the UK to arrive in Ireland.

If it is still not there claim off paypal.

eBay do that on things all the time, I've had it happen about 4 or 5 times, and they've all arrived. Usually it's something that's questionable, like a laser pointer, something that allows you to play copied games (like a Pandora battery), and so on.

You could contact the seller and ask them about it. If you get a reply, then the seller is probably genuine. If you get no reply, consider a Paypal dispute, which should get a reply. Don't close that dispute until the item arrives though.

Happened to me too, with fake "bendaroos"!! I received them anyways within about 10 days.

you can just make your own pandora battery from the one in your psp then turn it back into normal battery sure.

OK. Here is what you do. You forward the email they sent you back to them and right

" hello sir/madam. I have recently purchased *name of item* which has the item number of *item number*.Unfortunately the item has been removed. The transaction has already been made and the money has been deducted from my account. This has caused me great inconvience and would like a refund.

    Thank you,
    *name*"

Try that. feel free to tweak it to your liking.
    hope this helps:D
