There are massive discounts on footwear and sports gear in JJB Sports in Blanchardsown Shopping Centre. Its closing down next week. Nike Football boots for as little as €3. However be prepared to be bumped and barged. Waiting time for checkout is also long but for the bargains well, well worth it.

Is it actually closing down this time?

well if it's like the liffey valley and square branches it's probably only closing down to re-open. If it has just been closed down already then they may be on their way.

what they said to me in the Square a couple of months ago was that as shops in UK are closing down they are selling most of the stock from Ireland, as OP said great bargains to be had.

Was in there last week, was crazy, people were buying boxes of football boots. Didnt have much left in there last week. Old Man Utd jerseys for 12 euro.

My better half was there again yesterday. Not much left, plenty of size 12s if you have big feet. Not sure if they are getting any more stock in. Member of staff said that they are not closing down but are being refitted and will reopen soon.

Same in Liffey Valley. And their selection now is pathetic. They had about 5 different pairs of boots.

That must surely go to the shop in 1st floor, Stephens Green Shopping Centre that has been closing down for the last 8 years.
