No bet today -[/QU Noland, the handiest way is to have your tank on a 6/4 chance, if you try to turn backing horses into science you will be frustrated. If you want to split stakes couple 2 4/1 chances. Punting is about pulling the trigger when you fancy one, it has nothing to do with theory. The worst eg of a theorist is Kevin Pullien who writes for the post about football. He just complicates matters tips up about 2 bets a year.

Mystery, your view is of course what a gambler is 100 quid win on a horse / event and lose what happens then? you chase losses and end up doing yankees, doubles etc - poorhouse this way -->

The thread is about selective betting and having no bets some day is part of the action required, its dedication nothing less.
whole bank on one event for me that is not an option.

Of course its popular to "just go for it" big fast win easy money, but as with the lottery it doesnt always work out like that.

Re: betting points and bank im already doing 1 pt = 10 euro for my own account thats a 500 quid bank of course so i need to keep this 100 euro bank at .5 or €5

I think it would be best to stick with money terms for now since the whole point to this thread is to turn €100 into €250, just to keep things simple for now.

on the bets on your site, from what i can make out if i was putting 20 on first bet and lose and then put double on next bet ie 40 and win,,,, then go back to 20 again and double if i lose and double again if i lose ie 20-40-80.... if doing so with those bets my loss is 160 , my winnings are 601 ,plus i get back my 280 i used to place de winning bets,,, 601 winnings -160 losses = 441 profit plus my 280 back for de win bets,,, so thats a nice 441 over 12 days,,

had a look at the rugby and F1 but considered them no bets, reason theres a gap between selection is "selective bets" only.
I will not bet every day and advise you to do the same, i dont bet in run of the mill races worth a few grand to connections unless we have pretty solid reason to.

There is pretty decent racing today but far too many meetings one can be drawn in and chase loses on such a day or be tempted by an each-way lucky 15? not for me.

Fair play thats serious bet well done - our strongest bet of the day and he duly ran them ragged on 9f form he was the best by far - Chinese White.
Was dissapointed with Lillie but the ground was the undoing plus the improvement in K Prend horse - knew Mr D Mc Donagh would pick one up but didnt think it would be the most valuable race on a 16/1 shot! we had the wrong 16/1 and race!
