Hi, I am hoping someone out there can help me....

I am currently putting together all the paper work and completing the Higher Education Grant Application due by 31st Aug 09.

There are a few area's where I need clarification:

    1. I reside in Dublin 4 (Merrion/ Ballsbridge area). Can anyone tell me which council I should submit my application to: Dublin City Council, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8 or South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24?

    2. I am have been accepted into a 1 year Masters Degree and am applying for the grant as an Independent Mature Candidate. I am 28, have been living out of the family home and independent of my parents for nearly 7 years. Considering this am I still required to answer Q5 & Q6 in the Personal Information Section pertaining to my Father and Mother's personal details: (Name, Address, PPS etc.)? or any of the other sections requesting information with regard to my parents?

    3. I am submitting my original birth cert and college transcripts. This is the only copy of my birth cert that I have. Will this be returned to me along with all other original documentation I submit?

    Thanks!!

    Dublin City Council.

I'm not sure about this actually. It would be no harm in entering their personal details anyway, just don't enter their income.

Yeah, you should definitely get it back. If you are concerned about it going missing, it might be wise to register it or hand it in in person.

You can buy a copy of your birth cert for about 7 euro from the HSE. not sure where you go in Dublin though.
