    hi all,

unsure if this is the right place or not.

basically, my house had plumbing issues where i had to buy new materials & pay for a plumber to do the job, as the site foreman kept fobbing me off. The total amount came to 400e. the foreman said that the building company would reimburse me, after i had proved that it was their neglect in the 1st place, but nothing in over 2 years. all letters keep getting ignored as do phone calls since then.

i tried to submit a claim to the small claims court, but they said since the value of the house was over the small claims threshold ie, 3000e approx, i cannot use them, even though i am only claiming for 400e.

    are they right?

    is this a solicitor matter?

I think the person from the small claims court is talking nonsense. They are constantly accepting claims from people about holidays where people restrict the claim for compensation to the limit of the small claims court even though the holiday cost more than the limit.
