Getting a profile On Myspace music

I need some help people. I want to create a good profile with 3 of my own songs on myspace.
Can someone out there please put me on the right track.

Call your act "Kissed A Girl", put a picture of two hotties snogging on the music page. Then spam like crazy. Some of the punters may even listen to your music...;)

When you say you want to create a "good" profile what do you mean exactly? Do you want a flashy design with links to Twitter or Youtube or do you need more basic help on just getting a music profile created?

Okay well try this info. It's cobbled together from something else I put together ages ago but it should still make sense.

Go to http://www.myspace.com/

Click the blue "Sign Up" link on the right hand side.
On the next screen you choose your profile type. Look for the "Profile Types" box on the right hand side and click the link that says "If you are a Musician, Sign up here".

Enter the details on the form that comes up.
After you enter your e-mail address/password etc. you get to choose your MySpace address. Try and choose something that incorporates your band name and is easy to type i.e. don't use text speak or substitute letters for numbers. An error will be displayed if your chosen address is unavailable.

There are 3 stages on this screen. Step 1 gets you to enter the details of your music. Step 1 allows you to upload a photo. Click "Skip this step" on the lower right of the screen if you don't have a photo. Step 3 allows you to invite friends. Again you can click "Skip this step" on the lower right of the screen to move on. Step 4 allows you to upload your music. When you click the Manage Songs link from Step 4 you are brought to a screen which allows you to add a song to your profile by clicking on the "Add a song to your profile" link on the top right.

First you edit song details such as the title and control whether users can download it or not. Then once you click the Update button you'll be brought to a screen where you can select the MP3 file from your computer to upload. Each song must be uploaded individually which can take some time.

At this point you're logged in so you can edit other parts of your profile such as upcoming gigs by selecting Profile->Edit Profile from the blue horizontal menu that should be just below the MySpace logo.

If you have any other MySpace-related questions feel free to ask them, I'm not an expert but I've set up MySpace pages in the past so I know a certain amount .

No, unfortunately you can't change your profile type once it's created. See here.
