iPhone not working properly on Vodafone

    Hi,
    I recently got an unlocked original iPhone off a friend. Text and web work fine in my house. I can make calls but can't really receive calls. When i'm out and about it works better. Anyone know if this is just iphone problem. My Nokia e 66 works pretty well, breaks up a little bit but no problems receiving calls.
    Would this improve with a 3gs on vodafone'?

    Any advice would help.

    Hm... I currently use an iPhone 3GS and a Nokia E71; both on Vodafone.

    Where I live there's no 3g, but the E71 gives me full bars and no probs. The iphone I gotta move to a particular place to get 1 bar!

    Dito with O2 sims: e71 gives me full bars, O2 2 bars if I'm lucky and holding it right!

    The iPhone 3g I had around xmas gave me NO signal at all at home. Nuddin!
