Came across this ad in th Irish Independent last week

    Cars bought for Cash

    at

    JMK Motor Company

    00 - 09 Any make or model

    Trade Prices paid immediately

    Phone 086 1926914

Anyone know anything about them ? is this kosher or a scam ?

What is meant by Trade Prices ?

Is the fact that a mobile phone no is listed and not a land line sound a bit dodgy ?

What do you think? Any advice ?

trade price = nowhere near what you reckon it's worth, and in this case, probably a little less than it's actually worth.

That said, an X Trail isn't the most desirable of machines these days.

Yeah, they're not going to make any money if they give you a decent price for it!

I checked my own car out on www.webuyanycar.com (it's a UK import anyway) and they offered me £800! If you watch any of the sky channels, you should see the ad with very bouncy dance music.

Thanks guys but does anyone know anything about the company in the original post ? are they legit ?

If you're only selling your car and not buying another one, it doesn't really matter how legit they are.

Go in, find out how much they think your car's worth. If you're disappointed, walk away. If you're ok with it, let them buy it.
Possibly ask for payment by cash or draft if you think they're properly dodgy, but I'd think a company cheque would be fine.
