Last season I broke my collarbone in a tackle.Missed the season because of it.
Keen to get back but worried I'll break it again.Just curius to see how other people have dealt with the same injury and how they got back into using that shoulder?

I broke mine when i was 16 snapped in two saw the xrays and was left to heal naturally 8 weeks later i was back playing Gaa was at end of rugby season.
16 years later never had any problems just some stiffness going into the shoulder and back area.
In my case when it healed the bone is much thicker and stronger the chances of it breaking again would be minimal id say.

i broke my collar bone 3 times, the last time was the only one playing rugby though and anyone would have broke it that day. rock hard ground in december, hard tackle, and an awkward fall on the shoulder.
its a confidence thing really. if the doctors say you're good to go then you're good to go physically. mentally though it may take a bit longer.
go back training and give it a lash.
