    Hi Guys,

In middle of timber frame build at the moment. Plumber and electrician finished, just a couple of things to clean up. Under plenty of pressure to get in before November; mini murphs on the way.

Have gone down the route of Fermacell instead of just normal plasterboard for a couple of reasons (insulation, sound proofing etc) but here's the problem.

Have 2 quotes for the installation, one is a full 100% more expensive than the other. With that variation its very difficult to gauge whats good or bad.

Does anyone have contacts details of someone who installs this stuff.
    Any details much appreciated. Thanks

First of all, if I was going down the fermacell route. I'd be sure my reasons were justified.
Fermacell isn't going to make a much difference to insulation.
And while it would be better than plasterboard for soundproofing (due to tis density) there are other more traditional options.

Get a third quote. Its far easier to compare 3 quotes than 2.

Second, ask if they have worked with fermacell before. Chances are one of them hasn't and he didn't account for the fact that fermacell is heavier and requires more time/work to install. The lower price is could be based on plasterboard, but the other one on Fermacell

Ask them to include scope of work.
One could be pricing for slabbing and taping, while the other is skimming etc
