Hi guys I did Arts in UCD last year and dropped out on the 1st of January. I reapplied to the CAO and I've been offered Business in DIT. Just wondering how do I find out what fees I'm eligable to pay?? I know the govt. are re-introducing fees probably next year but will I have to pay full fees for this coming year??
    Any help greatly appreciated,
    Thanks in advance guys

No point going there - the fees are set by each HEI. Ring them. Ask to be put through to the Fees Office. They will tell you straight away. However you will receive a letter in the next week or so anyway.

I am in the same situation myself. I have contacted the HEA, the Department of Education, the relevant colleges and the Minister for Education. Not one of them could give me an answer so you will be subject to whatever policy there is at the moment, which is paying tuition fees for the first year of your new course, having done first year of another course. You may or may not be subject to tuition fees in 2010 then. I've accepted my CAO offer but am still unsure will I go ahead with the course, which will cost just below €6,000 (including reg. fee). I could go do a course in a better college in the UK for half that price. And the thought of more fee's in 2010! Don't see why I should be subject to two different policies!

Just re-read your post. You dropped out on January 1st so you will only have to pay 50% of the tuition fees.
