Is the USB port on a Sky+ box activated?

    Hi

I am wondering is the USB port on a Sky+ box activated? If so can I copy a recorded film to say an 8Gb USB Key (formatted FAT32, can always re-format to NSFS if needed).

If it is not activated is there a straight forward way to copy the film to my laptop? I do not have a DVD-recorder and to be honest not really bothered using my VCR.

    All replies welcome. Thanks!

Nope, handy for charging an iPod, but that's about it.

All the recordings on it are encrypted anyway.
