Trinity on-campus accommodation

Hey guys - I'm moving into Pearse Street at some point in the near future - I was wondering what the process is like for people moving into on-campus accommodation?

I'm slightly concerned that after I accepted and paid my deposit I have yet to receive any new communication from the officials at Trinity - is this normal? They say the first rent payment must be paid within two weeks of the moving in date but there doesn't seem to be any facility on the accommodation page to pay that fee...

Thank you for any advice/input you can offer.

Hey Thirdfox, congratulations on getting campus! To the best of my knowledge, there's no way to pay online for accommodation. I know I had to pay all three rent installments by cheque last year, though it's possible they can take credit cards in the accommodation office. And not hearing from the office for weeks at a time and then getting random demands for money is perfectly normal, but if you're worried, give them a call to confirm everything (01-8961177).

I'm in the same boat too, also moving into Goldsmith. Haven't got a peep back, so presuming everything is A-okay. As far as I know, the usual move-in date tends to be Wednesday of Freshers' week, but don't hold me to that. I believe you can pay a tiny bit extra, and be allowed to move in a couple of days early. I might do this, moving all the gear on a Sunday would be far far easier.

Definitely the least attractive place on campus. No common area, tiny rooms, tiny kitchen.
