I not doing that course but id still recommend getting a labtop. Computers on campus can be in constant use, especially coming up to exams and if you will be using the Hamilton library here isnt any at all!!
Get a basic one for coursework and internet and you cant go wrong!

I would have to agree, they are very handy to have even if they're not absolutely necessary. Chances are you will have essays to write, notes to save and download. While in theory this could all be done in the computer rooms, they get very busy and hot at certain times of year (start and exams). Its far nicer to do those write ups in the comfort of your own home.

Get yourself a small light portable machine, it will probably be one of the best investments you make in college.

For first year OT I'm not sure whether a laptop is entirely neccessary. A friend of mine is just going into her final year and she still doesn't have a laptop. First year OT from what I can remember her saying is fullof doll making, teddy making and bowling. YOu have one exam at the end of the year and its not very difficult at all!
