Ive a family member with depression, who even though they have medication spends half or more of the day in bed. Even after they said to their doctor and said they spend most of the day in bed the medication hasnt been changed the doctor just advised a blood test and I dont want to say stop taking it on case things get worse. I dont know what to do about it at all. The person has been on this medication for a little over a year, could things improve by itself ie could the person in question get used to the medication and stop always heading straight for the bed whenever they can. It sounds like nothing but its really worryin me not knowing what to do or say to help.
I guess I just wanted to get this off my chest. Thanks.

I'm afraid that what you really need is more information about the medication and the effects of it. Unfortunately only a doctor can give you this information, we can't give medical advice on Boards and I'm afraid I'll have to lock this thread. If you're not happy with how the current doctor is dealing with things you should seek a second opinion.
