kinda wrote this as a song, but considerin i can't play any instruments i suppose it gets a runaout as a poem... any feedback good, bad or indifferent would be appreciated...

she’s a floating angel with a burnt out halo,
he’s a soulless saint who likes to lay low,
together they took a ride on the runaway kite,
two switchblade lovers in full flight,
carvin out holes in the neon night… and that’s quite alright…

in the dark beauty of urban decay,
I tripped, stumbled, yeah I'd lost my way,
when she came down from the clouds to lead me astray...
gave me shelter from the dark of the day,
then introduced me to the ghost of Dorian Gray,
and somehow it shouldn’t be right,
but when I look at her face it all falls into place,
two switchblade lovers in full flight,
slicin up holes in the neon night…

I laid her down and we shared our evils,
while she shot my dreams through the eye of a needle,
we went down to the seafront to leer at the moon,
and sidestepped fate, yeah our love was in bloom,
two switchblade lovers in full flight,
dicin up souls in the neon night,
yeah and that’s quite alright… destiny’s way outta sight..

somewhere down in the depths of deep south,
just off the last stop on the spiral line,
there’s an old photo of boy and a girl,
still holdin up to the test of time,
pretty young kids with hair jet black,
looking for a needle in a halo stack,
two switchblade lovers about to take flight,
knives poised at the ready to carve up the night…
    yeah and it’s quite alright… destiny’s nowhere in sight…
